Working with heart and from the heart

Last year's tourist season was certainly something quite special. It rewarded me with a whole range of different feelings, thoughts, insights, and realizations. And for many of them, I am sincerely grateful.

I won't lie: I am as tired as I have been in a long time. Although I have worked a lot and hard, I still work with joy. Despite immense fatigue, I still wear a smile on my face because my business immensely delights me. I am infinitely grateful for every satisfied guest. Sometimes my whole body hurts, and I am indescribably tired, but I still feel immensely fulfilled, happy, and content within myself. I still go to guests with joy every day because they teach me something new every day, make me laugh, give me a lot of new strength and insights.

Each Guest Is a Story of Their Own

With some guests, we form real friendships in just a few days, with others, we selflessly help each other … The stories that accumulate during the tourist season make up one big book, and I am grateful for each one. I am happy and satisfied that in these few months, I have met so many wonderful people, and I can say that each of them has enriched me in their own way.

I am still deeply moved when I receive praise from guests and when they leave us with a smile on their face and a promise to see us again next year. You cannot imagine how great a reward that is for me.

Of course, not all stories are just rosy and cheerful, of course not. I fully understand that I simply cannot always meet or satisfy all guests' wishes and expectations. There are many things I do not know, and I am not ashamed to admit it. However, I know that both I and my entire team always do our best and make every effort to make guests feel at home with us. We are always available to them with our knowledge, information, ideas, experiences … or just with a warm word. After all, the latter is often all someone wants.

I do not believe in coincidences, but I know that everything happens for a specific reason, and this has been confirmed countless times this year as well. One of my guests, for example, is engaged in beekeeping, which has always fascinated me. In just a few days, this gentleman taught me a lot about these wonderful creatures and honey production. He also gave me many valuable ideas on how to incorporate honey into my products and thus confirmed my long-standing desire for new honey products.

Guests are willing to help you if you let them close. They have given me so much valuable knowledge, experience, and incredible stories. I will definitely write a book about this someday because every guest brings their unique story with them.

My Work Fills Me Up

Many would say how difficult and exhausting it is to work with people. To some extent, I agree with this, but on the other hand, I would not exchange my job for anything in the world. Despite immense fatigue, I do not miss a vacation at all, I do not think about where I would go, what I missed this summer. What I do fills me immensely, actually gives me energy, drive for the future, fulfills me.

And all these feelings during that period when I was regularly employed, I never really understood well. But let me tell you, there really is no greater reward in life than doing what truly delights you from the heart. Of course, at the end of the season, I will take a few days off, and then I will soon start conjuring up new projects - I still have plenty of ideas.
